Social Media for Writers

Like it or not, online social media is one of the most popular means of communication. Teaching English KS2students through social media can help them improve their writing skills. Students will learn that acceptable writing styles differ depending upon the media that is being used. For example, abbreviations used on Twitter or instant messaging may not be appropriate in a more formal setting. Students also need to learn how to be safe online.

Teachers can capitalize on social media. It is easy to set up secure, private Facebook or blog accounts. Blogging is a great way for students to publish their writing. A private blog can also become the perfect medium for student journals. Internet skills are important for children to acquire, not only to keep children safe, but also to have a creative outlet for their writing.

Business meetings are usually the most boring thing on earth

I find being on deck to attend a business meeting outside of the office to be boring and just a waste of my time. Typically our firm chooses the cheapest place they can find, scales back on refreshments and seems to always get the dark, dank and coldest room in the joint. Then they wonder why people yawn and run to the bathroom so much. That changed last week when we held a meeting offsite at this new place. All I can say is I have never been in a place like that for a business meeting. Conference venues are using stoic and stuffy, but not this place. The feel of the place made everyone just jazzed to be there, which honestly never happens. Talk about picking a winner for a change.

Maxwell isn’t such a stud

I always thought Max wouldn’t of had much trouble finding a date, but it turns out he does. I suppose he let his luxurious lifestyle get too out of hand and now the women only think he’s way too out of their league. We work in imports and exports and sometimes we let the work get to us. When you work too hard, you have to play just as hard to keep yourself from falling under. From fancy dinner parties to a casual cruise on Max’s yacht, we’re always trying to maintain that thrill and keep the party going. From the expenses of fine wine and cuban cigars, to the unsightly cost of boat fuel, times can get us down. When you’re this stressed about not falling under and making sure your parties will always keep them coming for more. Max always tells me that the first place he calls is Vienna escorts.
